In this module all the lessons are connected. Students start by choosing a significant future dream/aspiration such as owning an investment property. They will research and document what, how much, by when.
Over the next 4 weeks students will be taking a gamified approach to forming their own thinking about investing to achieve their dreams/aspirations and whether their investing strategy should be concerned with sustainability. This week, students learn about Capitalism and are invited to consider both sides - for and against and to form their own views.
This week students learn about Sustainable Capitalism and Micro Finance, again, being asked to form their own views.
In Week 3 we take a closer look at the impacts of Sustainable Capitalism and Micro Finance with Case Studies.
In Week 4, students will return to the significant future dream they mapped out in Lesson 2 and create their own personal investment plan to achieve that dream through a decision tree process. Students will choose an Exchange Traded Fund Portfolio that reflects their personal investing position following the last 3 weeks of learning.
In Lesson 7, students will split into debating teams and prepare the first round of thinking into the topic based on the side of the debate they have chosen.
